The final night of our Tour!
It's about 50 miles from Avila to Madrid. We arrived back in Madrid in the late afternoon on Day 21 of our journey. Three weeks earlier, Madrid had been the starting point for one of the richest experiences of our lifetime. Now we had come full circle.
|
|
There was time to freshen up before attending the "Gala Farewell Dinner" that Saga Holidays had scheduled to mark the completion of our tour. It was a pleasant meal with plenty of wine, and a chance to share warm "Goodbyes" among friends that we had made during our weeks of travel.

We had a sound night's rest at Hotel Colon.
