Tokyo Tower
Later, feeling like old hands at negotiating Tokyo's public transportation, we hopped aboard the subway for a trip to Tokyo Tower. Until our journey, we didn't know that there was such a thing as the Tokyo Tower. Well, indeed there is. It's like the Eiffel Tower in Paris--except that Tokyo's Tower is 12 meters higher.
The Tokyo Tower is a great spot to get an overview of the city. (Sorry, I couldn't resist!) Despite the pun, that's the truth. We enjoyed a marvelous panorama of the area from the tower's observation deck. From high above the city, we gained a perspective that escapes a street-level sight-seer. The view from the Tower "put it all together."
