Shopping in Hong Kong

Hong Kong is electronics, cameras, jewelry, fashions, and shopping. And shopping. And shopping. As we walked through the retail areas, salesmen and shopkeepers would offer to make a suit--or sell us a "Low-Rex."

Lots of street sellers offered a "Low-Rex." But I didn't know what they were talking about. "What's a Low-Rex?" I wondered to myself. And suddenly I realized: They were Chinese--who typically got their "Ls" and "Rs" mixed up! They were trying to sell knock-off copies of a Rolex! Well, we didn't buy their Rolexes. But it was an education.

Dot did dally for quite a while at a Jewelry establishment. In the end (and despite my strong urging), she decided against purchasing the expensive diamond and ruby ring that she had been admiring.
