A Dragon Wall Decoration

A grey dragon tops the wall of Yu Yuan Garden. His undulating body follows the wall over its entire length. I'm not sure how the garden's early occupants interpreted the dragon; but, to me, it represented the fierce outside world peering over the fence into this harbor of tranquility.
