Kate O'Leary didn't bring us directly to our afternoon visit of Toledo. She was far too savvy a tour guide for that! If she taken us directly to Toledo, then we would have been forced to lunch there--or in "downtown" Madrid before leaving.
Getting lunch for our large-sized group in the very midst of a major city or a popular tourist destination could have been a time-consuming and expensive proposition. We had a sizeable entourage--45 people. That's a lot to manage! Instead of fighting crowds, Katy programmed an early stop en route at a place with a marvelous square and a variety of eating establishments. Here's where we stopped:

I wish I could tell you where we were when I took these photos. Still, including them in our travelogue is consistent with the spirit of our adventure. Being in a picturesque spot, taking some interesting photographs, capturing some precious memories--BUT NOT KNOWING WHERE YOU WERE--seems to be the very essence of our commando-style sight-seeing blitz! (But our trip was fun, and we wouldn't trade it for anything!) Best we can say is that this is someplace on the way to Toledo!
