The Asakusa District

Our city tour finished at the Asakusa District where there was a large Buhddist Temple, a Pagoda, some smaller gardens--and a flock of pigeons with a personalities similar to the British pigeons of Trafalgar Square. And, of course, there was a shopping bazaar!

Not far from the large Temple there was a pleasant garden with a sculpture of a bronze worshipper. At first glance, the statue looked quite real--especially because its posture was so natural. Because of the metal worshipper, even at the loneliest hour, there would always be "someone" to pay homage at this devotional spot!
