The Banpo Neolithic Village
Although Xian is known primarily for its terra cotta army, the city also has another very important archeological site. The Banpo Neolithic Village is a community that dates back to 4500 BC. It contained housing, burial sites, and was protected by a moat. Our tour took us to this "Dig" which--like the warrior site--is an on-going archeological quest.
