Tiananmen Square

Our tour group went to Tiananmen Square on the day following the visit to the Forbidden City. (Tiananmen Square is near the Forbidden City.) As we were getting off our bus, we heard a loud boom. It turned out that the sound was a suicide bomber at the Forbidden City--where we had just toured the day before! That was a shock to us.
